CASTLE BUNNIES

                                         Caring

                      Feeding,

A diet of quailty hay and good quality rabbit food. A small amount of veg,  NOT lettuce as it can cause serious medical problems, as well as some other plants that can be found in the garden,so if your rabbits run free please check before you allow them to do so. Also plenty of clean water is needed for drinking.

                                            HOMING

To house your rabbit/rabbits you will need a good quality well made hutch of at least four times the size of your breed of rabbit. In your hutch there should be a closed area for the rabbit to go for peace and quiet. You should have access to them both via two doors one closed an one of wire mesh in the front of the hutch.  One to two inches of bedding, either saw dust or straw or both. (Do not use ceder based bedding as this can cause harm to your rabbit/rabbits)(a closed area of hutch is not requred if your rabbit is kept indoors)

It is advised to house male rabbits separately to avoid fighting. Also to avoid breeding to keep bucks and does apart. As anyone who cares for rabbits cannot condone unwanted breeding, if you do not wish to breed this can be solved by having your males neutered.

Your rabbit/rabbits will also need somewhere to exercise, so if thay can not run free in your garden then they will need some sort of run that they can be placed in for a period of time during the day, it should be  large enough for bunnie to run around and high enough for him/her to stand up on his/her hind legs and do what bunnies do.
